Located in the historic Houston Heights, our private practice is led by Dr. Noel C. Gonzalez and a team of dedicated, licensed professionals who provide high-quality psychotherapy services for individuals, couples, families, and children. Our mission is to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s unique needs in a safe and supportive environment.
Since the practice’s founding, Dr. Gonzalez has worked with a diverse range of patients facing complex mental health concerns. Our providers are equipped to address challenges across the lifespan and offer additional seminars and workshops throughout the year.

Your journey begins with a comprehensive evaluation to better understand your personal history, goals, and current challenges. Together, we’ll develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs and preferences.

Meet Dr. Gonzalez, PhD, LPC-S Owner, Clinical Director
Founder & Clinical Director
Dr. Noel C. Gonzalez (he/him) is a Licensed Professional Counselor and supervisor with over two decades of clinical experience in private practice, hospitals, schools, and forensic settings. He holds a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, and a Master's and PhD in Clinical Psychology and Health Psychology from Fielding Graduate University.
Dr. Gonzalez’s training includes internships at Texas Children’s Hospital at Baylor College of Medicine, the Baylor Community Medicine Clinic, and the Michael D. DeBakey Veterans Hospital, among others. He previously held a staff position at Houston Methodist Hospital. Dr. Gonzalez currently serves on the medical staff at Texas Children's Hospital in the Department of Gastroenterology and Nutrition, Eating Disorders Clinic, and is a Field Supervisor for Counseling@Northwestern The Family Institute at Northwestern University.

As a bilingual provider, Dr. Gonzalez offers services in both English and Spanish and is committed to the development and supervision of new clinicians entering the field.
Joseph Fincher, M.Ed., LPC-Associate (Supervised by Dr. Gonzalez)
Joseph (he/they) offers a warm, affirming space for individuals and couples to navigate life’s challenges and restore balance in their mental health. He specializes in working with the LGBTQIA+ community, including transgender and gender-diverse clients, as well as those living with HIV, facing cancer, or managing other chronic illnesses. Joseph is also experienced in supporting caregivers through the emotional and practical stressors they encounter. His collaborative, compassionate approach honors each patient’s unique identity, story, and strengths.
Sujey Myer, M.Ed., LPC-Associate (Supervised by Dr. Gonzalez)
Sujey (pronounced Sue-hay) works with adults navigating depression, anxiety, trauma (PTSD), and other life challenges. She focuses on reducing symptoms, building coping skills, and deepening self-understanding through a blend of person-centered and narrative therapy.
Fluent in Spanish and sensitive to multicultural issues, Sujey offers an affirming, nonjudgmental space for all, including members of the LGBTQIA+ and kink communities. She believes you already have the tools to grow and heal—and she’s here to help you uncover them as you move toward the life you want. She is committed to honoring each person's unique experiences with care and respect.
Lauren Kendrick (she/her) is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University. She adheres to the belief that establishing trust through a strong therapeutic relationship is fundamental to the therapy process. In her practice, she endeavors to cultivate a warm and culturally sensitive environment, fostering collaborative work with her clients to address their individual objectives. Kendrick draws from a foundational understanding of Psychodynamic principles, integrating techniques from diverse philosophical approaches to examine present and past experiences that may impact relational patterns, thereby enhancing self-awareness by bringing unconscious elements to light.
Specializing in supporting individuals and couples navigating fertility, perinatal and postnatal trauma, and parenting, she operates under the supervision of Dr. Noel C. Gonzalez, PhD, LPC-S, Board Certified Supervisor, ensuring the quality of her care. The Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at Northwestern University is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).
Lauren Quayle, MA, LPC-Associate (Supervised by Dr. Gonzalez)
Supervised Providers and Training
We proudly support the next generation of therapists through rigorous training and supervision. Our Licensed Professional Counselor-Associates (LPC-As) have completed their graduate training and are authorized by the Texas State Board to provide psychotherapy under supervision while earning full licensure.
Dr. Gonzalez offers weekly supervision to all LPC-As and interns, ensuring clinical excellence and ethical practice. Our Community Outreach Clinic allows LPC-Associates and interns to provide services at a lower cost, expanding access to therapy for the local community.
Appointments & Payment Information
Appointments are available Monday through Friday, with some Saturday availability for interns. If we are unavailable, please leave your name and number, and we will return your call within 24 business hours.

2. Payment: We accept credit and debit cards, as well as HSA/FSA through HIPAA-secure billing or secure electronic transfer. Details will be provided upon scheduling. Although we do not accept insurance, we can issue a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement if applicable.
